Hamilton nearing fifth world championships with Japanese Grand Prix victory

Lewis Hamilton has extended his lead over title rival Sebastian Vettel by 67 points as he finished number one at Japanese Grand Prix. With Mercedes finishing one-two for the second successive time Sebastian Vettel could only finish a distant sixth. If the Mercedes teammates can repeat this feat at the US Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton will be crowned champion for the fifth time.

Hamilton was in full control of th race going for his sixth win in seven races. Valtteri Bottas finished second whereas Red Bull’s Max Verstappen came third. Vettel had a collision with Max Verstappen which eventually cost his chances as he could recover only to finish sixth.

Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo finished fourth and Ferrair’s Kimi Raikkonen finished fifth.
