Sri Lanka recalls Lasith Malinga for the Asia Cup 2018. The ace pacer is back into the Sri Lankan setup after an absence of more than one year. Indifferent form plus disciplinary issues were the reason why Sri Lanka opted for keeping this deadly bowler out of the team. Lasith Malinga was asked to skip IPL 2018(Mumbai’s bowling mentor) and play domestic cricket in Sri Lanka.
But the player chose to ignore the demand of selectors and thus was out of the good books of the selectors. Even after the commendable performance in domestic cricket after this he was not even considered by the selectors.
