Pakistan Cricket Board informed that opener Imam-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the second Test against Australia after having a fractured finger. Imam injured his finger during fielding on the final day of the first Test in Dubai. As the recovery period is not yet assessed it is understood that the southpaw will miss out in the Abu Dhabi Test, which begins on October 16.
In the first Test against Australia Imam scored 76 in the first innings and 48 runs in second innings. Pakistan will have two options as a replacement for Imam in the Abu Dhabi Test. Uncapped Fakhar Zaman who has been glorious for Pakistan in Limited over cricket and Usman Salahuddin are two likely contestants to open the innings along with Mohammad Hafeez.
