The new season of Bangladesh Premier League will see England Top order batsman Alex Hales playing for Rangpur Riders. The player was picked outside the draft. Two years before Alex Hales pulled out of England’s tour of Bangladesh citing security reasons.
“We have signed Hales for the upcoming edition of BPL. We are expecting him to be available throughout the tournament,” said Riders CEO Ishtiaque Sadeque.
The new season of BPL was rescheduled to January 2019 due to elections happening in Bangladesh. Sources confirm that Riders are trying hard to rope in AB de Villiers as their second signing outside the draft. But since the dates of BPL clashing with Big Bash League in Australia, even if ABD is signed he will miss atleast seven to eight matches for Rangpur Riders.
