Referring to the alleged voice clip which was posted in Manjappada Ernakulam Executive group regarding Chekkiyot Kizhakeveettil Vineeth-ball boy issue, Manjappada’s official statement is as follows:
Manjappada has never promoted any forms of bullying or abusing and never encouraged anyone to harass any player/officials. We have maintained the same decorum in our social media as well as in our stands.
The alleged voice clip posted in Ernakulam Executive group was just a narration of an incident that happened during Kerala Blasters FC vs Chennaiyin FC. The person who is speaking in the clip is an executive member of manjappada Ernakulam wing and he just narrated the incident from his perspective without any solid evidences. The voice clip somehow went out of the said group and became viral in no time.
Any allegations without any evidence should be considered as a false one and it is no different in this case as well. Manjappada condemns the fact that the clip originated from one of our WhatsApp groups and we pledge to make sure that no such incident happens in the future.
We have conveyed the same to Chekkiyot Kizhakeveettil Vineeth’s representatives in the presence of Ernakulam ACP. Manjappada has always been against all kind of bullying and we have advocated the same through our official social media handles.
Manjappada also would like to reiterate that we are a huge fan base and every member in our fan community has the right to speech and expression. Any comments or statements made by an individual should not be considered as the voice of manjappada. All our views and statements will only be made public through our official social media handles. Manjappada should not be held accountable for any remarks made by an individual on our platform. Nevertheless, our members have always upheld the pledge against bullying and abusing players and we will continue to do so. Fair remarks about the game can also be misinterpreted at times and our members should be careful even while doing healthy criticism.
It has also been noted that a number online portals are coming up with claims that we are going to shut down Manjappada Kerala Blasters Fan Club. We understand that this is being done for cheap publicity and clicks. We would like to make it clear that these news are completely fake and we are ready to move legally in case of any more news like this.
