We cordially invite you for the Lights of Hope – Lantern Event scheduled between 7:30pm and 9pm on Friday, the 8th February 2019 at the Calicut Beach. A lead-up event aligned with our theme of the 10th Edition of IIM Kozhikode presents Peekay Steel Calicut Half Marathon 2019 on 24th of February 2019.
The event is aimed at celebrating the resilience shown by the people of Kerala through the traumatic times of floods, lauding the spirit of togetherness and saluting humanity. It is a tribute to the unsung heroes of the flood in the form of soldiers, Policemen, Doctors, Disaster relief teams, Fishermen, Students, NGOs, Volunteers, Bus Drivers, Conductors and extends to all individuals who aided in the welfare of the public and proved the world, humanity prevails against all odds.
We mark the occasion spreading the Lights of Hope for a better Tomorrow and letting our lanterns fly high into the sky!
The theme for 2019’s Half Marathon will be ‘UNITED KERALA: UPHOLDING THE LEGACY’ aimed at celebrating the spirit of unity shown during the past and bringing people together to create awareness about helping people for a better tomorrow.
