Haryana Steelers won against a fighting Gujarat Fortunegiants in the first encounter of the Prokabaddi League yesterday. The victorious team were leading 20-13 in the first half and avoided a strong backlash from Gujarat to win the match 32-25.
It was a fighting Prapanjan who fought hard for Gujarat taking 9 points and Sachin helped Prapanjan with 8 points. It was a team effort from Haryana Steelers with Monu Goyat and Kuldeep Singh earning 7 points and Naveen helping with 6 points.
Gujarat had more raiding points (16-13) and Haryana had an upper hand in tackle section (14-9). Haryana took 2 raiding points and 3 extra points while Gujarat failed to get any points from this section.
