Indian women’s hockey legend Vandana Katariya has announced her retirement from international hockey. The 32-year-old, India’s most-capped female player with 320 appearances and 158 goals, made history as the first Indian woman to score an Olympic hat-trick at Tokyo 2020. Katariya played a crucial role in India’s rise, winning multiple medals in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and international tournaments. She expressed gratitude to her coaches, teammates, and fans, saying it was the right time to step away.
