Reiss Nelson: One for the future

Unable to find playing time in the Premier League, some players have moved abroad. This season we know the case of Jadon Sancho who is in blistering form with Borussia Dortmund. Another Englishman, a gunner who is on loan at Hoffenheim is also in blistering form.

To break into the Arsenal midfield was a difficult task and to go on loan was an excellent decision. At Hoffenheim, he has shown Arsenal what he is capable of. He shows a ray of glimpse that the future is safe for Arsenal. In seven Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim, he has racked up six goals. His amazing form got him the Bundesliga’s rookie of the month. It seems like the England boys are having a great time in Germany.

It is too early to judge him as he needs to keep performing week in week out. With Welbeck set to miss the season with an injury, Arsenal fans will like to have Nelson back at the Emirates. The news is always welcome but it would be wise to leave Nelson in Germany itself for the remainder of the season. He can accumulate experience as well as game time.

If you consider the Stats, Bundesliga is the place you should go to if you are a young player under the age of 21 want quality game time. It evident from the cases of Sancho and Nelson. If they had stayed put at their clubs in the Premier League the case would have been entirely different.

If Arsenal really wants to flourish and fly high, they need to strengthen their wings. With the experience Nelson is getting, Arsenal can be safe about the future. So if Nelson can keep his head down and concentrate on his game, we have a future legend in the making.
