Gokulam Kerala FC’s four youngsters have been selected to the Kerala Sub-Junior team that will play the South-Zone qualifiers that is due to take place in Telangana. Abi V.A, Anas, Muhammad Arshad and Rahul TV are the players from GKFC who has made it to Kerala Sub Junior Team.
Abi from Idukki is a central defender who is training with the U-13 team in GKFC’s Valancheri facility under the tutelage of coach Shareef Khan. Rahul, who represented GKFC in last year’s U-13 I-league is from Ponnani and is a sprightly left wing back. Muhammad Arshad from Mannarkkad is a doughty defensive midfielder who can also play as a defender. Anas from Vengara in Malappuram is a striker who can also play in the wings. Rahul, Arshad and Anas trains in the Chelembra facility of GKFC under the guidance coach VP Suneer.
“We are incredibly proud of the boys and this is just a beginning for GKFC. We are committed to develop grassroots talents in Kerala and prepare them for bigger challenges in the future. The club wishes them best of luck for representing the state,” said Bino George, the Technical Director of Gokulam Kerala FC.
Kerala starts their campaign on August 12th against Andhra Pradesh and then will take on Tamilnadu on 16th August.
