Borussia Monchengladbach have signed Marcus Thuram from EA Guingamp. The 21-year-old France Under-21 striker has agreed a four-year contract with the gladbach running until June 2023. Marcus Thuram is the son of World Cup winner and France legend Lilian Thuram.
Thuram made a total of 38 appearances for Guingamp in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the French League Cup, scoring 13 goals. He was also part of the France U21 squad at the recent UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Italy.
“We’re thrilled to have Marcus on board. He is a fast, robust and dangerous attacker who fits into our squad well. We’re confident that he will make his mark in the Bundesliga,” said sporting director Max Eberl.
