Bengal Warriors started their Pro Kabaddi season with flying colors beating hosts Tamil Thalaivas. The winners lead the halftime 18-15 and increased their lead and too the game 36-27 at fulltime whistle. In a game where both teams were equal in raiding department Bengal was helped by their prominence in defense.
The team made Thalaivas all out twice and also had 4 extra points against one point from Tamil Thalaivas. In defense also they had a 10-8 lead over Tamil Thalaivas.
Maninder Singh was the star performer for Bengal Warriors scoring 9 points. For Tamil Thalaivas Ajay Thakur was off color and that was one main reason why Tamil Thalaivas couldn’t pull off a win.
