Windies coach Stuart Law has been suspended for two matches against India. Law will miss out the first two ODIs against India which will be held on October 21 and 24. Law has been fined 100 percent of his match fees and slammed with 3 demerit points for inappropriate comments made against the TV umpire and the Fourth Official.
Law was found guilty of breaching Level 2 Article 2.7 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “Public criticism of, or inappropriate comment in relation to an incident occurring in an International Match or any Player, Player Support Personnel, Match Official or team participating in any International Match, irrespective of when such criticism or inappropriate comment is made”.
Law has already put down his resignation at Windies, to take up coaching career with Middlesex from December. He will be available for the last three ODIs and the T20I series.
