The Technopark premier league which was a thrilling outdoor event for the techies was stopped abruptly due to the sudden COVID outbreak in India.
TPL 2020 episode was entering the final phase of the tournament when the lockdown was introduced in March 2020.
Though attempts were made to resume and complete the remaining matches, second and third waves, the restrictions, government protocols, and work from the home system of the companies were hurdles to do so…
Now with the relaxations and the far better situations, technopark authorities gave a green signal for the resumption of the tournament. Most of the companies are far from ready for a full-fledged event but they are all willing to let the tournament be over with available players. The fixtures are scheduled in such a way that employees working from home have to be in Trivandrum for a minimal period.
The threats underlying are the scorching heat of April and the potential risk of getting exposed to the sun after a long gap.
The timings are kept in such a way that the players are not exposed to the heat between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The mood of the companies is upbeat and players are thrilled and in high spirits to be back on lawns.
