Sourav Ganguly told that he is happy to see the emergence of Afghanistan and resurgence of Bangladesh but he is sad that the Asian giants Sri Lanka and Pakistan have played below par in the Asia Cup. While Sri Lanka made exit in the first round, Pakistan was beaten twice in their encounter against arch-rivals India and went out of the tournament with a defeat against Bangladesh.
“As much as Bangladesh’s resurgence and Afghanistan’s emergence is good news for the game, the quality of cricket displayed by Pakistan and Sri Lanka – the giants of Asia – has left a massive dent in world cricket”, said Sourav Ganguly.
