In 2006, A 221-year-old Alastair Cook debuted in Nagpur against host India. He scored a fine 50 in the first innings of the test and followed up with a ton in the second innings. Years later playing his 161st and Final test for the Country English batsman hit a 50 in the first innings and a ton in the second innings. What a resemblance of how he started his career, against the same opponent in the same style.
Alastair Cook is now only the 5th batsman ever to score a century both in his debut & final Test. He joins the list of Reggie Duff, Bill Ponsford, Greg Chappell and Mohammed Azharuddin.
