Real Madrid beat Roma 3-0 as they begin the defence of their Champions League crown with a win. Isco opened the scoring with an excellent free-kick before Gareth Bale made it 2-0, with substitute Mariano Diaz adding another goal for the hosts in the closing stages. Isco feels there is more to come from Madrid, as they had 30 shots.
“I’m happy with our result and good performance, although we could’ve scored more goals,” Isco told Movistar television.
“We have to keep improving. We had a good game, but we could’ve done better and controlled it better, so it wasn’t so end-to-end. Still, we’re on the right track.”
“I have a knack at free kicks and Ramos left it to me. I’m happy for the goal and three points.”
