Juventus star Miralem Pjanic labelled “football is crazy” after Cristiano Ronaldo’s red card. The Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder struck twice from the spot in a 2-0 victory, with the Bianconeri taking three points. Ronaldo was dismissed before the half-hour mark at the Mestalla.
“It wasn’t easy to step up to the spot, because the ball didn’t seem to want to go in before then,” Pjanic admitted, speaking to UEFA’s official website.
“Not to mention that in front of me I had Neto, against whom I took so many penalties in training.
“The red card? Football is crazy. At half-time we could have been at least three goals up.
“We did a similar thing two years ago in Lyon when we managed to win with 10 men. After that we got to the final. We want to repeat that.”
