Australian Opener Usman Khawaja attained his career-best rank by moving into the top 10 of the ICC Test Batsmen ranking. This is for the first time Khawaja has attained this feat, after a remarkable batting performance in the first Test in Dubai where Australia fought hard to salvage a draw against Pakistan.
Khawaja struck 85 and 141 in the innings and won the Player of the match award. He moved 9 places to reach his career-best rank. His previous best ranking was in January 2017 when he attained the 11th rank.
