Pakistan’s banned top order batsman Ahmed Shehzad has been included in the player pool for the fourth season of Pakistan Super League. Shehzad is banned for four months by PCB for consuming a banned substance and failing in the dope test. Since the ban was back-dated his ban period will be over by November 11 and will be back to cricket. This has led the PSL to keep the doors open for the Pakistan player.
“Shehzad’s name has now been added to the PSL pool of players. He is placed in the Gold category. Ahmed played for Multan Sultans last year and is currently placed on their roster. Multan can retain, trade or release him back into the Draft pool,” the board said in a release.
Following the ban, Shehzad was also dropped from the squad for the T20I tri-series against Zimbabwe and Australia.
