India named a 12-member shortlist for the Rajkot Test against Windies. India doesn’t have a custom of announcing the playing XI or the shortlisted squad before a test have surprisingly started that practise. India left out Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari, Mohammed Siraj from their 15-member Squad.
Shaw who was drafted in to the Indian Test Squad in England for the final two tests didn’t get a chance there. But with Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan Discarded for the tour he will open the innings with KL Rahul.
India will have a five member bowling unit for Rajkot Test with 6 bowlers finding a place in the 12-member shortlist. The final decision will be made upon Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur depending on the playing conditions at Rajkot.
Hanuma Vihari misses out along with Mayank Agarwal and Mohammed Siraj. Vihari was impressive in his debut in England and both Mayank Agarwal and Mohammed Siraj have been performing consistently over a period of time with impressive Performance in domestic and for India A.
