Sol Bamba’s winner in the final minute of the normal time helped Cardiff City bet 10-man Brighton. This is Cardiff’s second win of the season. Coming from behind after Lewis Dunk scored for Brighton as early as sixth-minute in the opening half, Cardiff leveled with Callum Paterson scoring from a header for the Bluebirds. Dale Stephen’s was shown a straight red card for a lunge at Greg Cunningham and this incident clearly changed the complexion of the game. At half-time teams were level 1-1.
In the second half, Cardiff kept on attacking Brighton and hit the woodwork twice. As everyone was expecting the match to end as a 1-1 draw Sol Bamba late winner helped the homeside grab their second full points. With the win, Cardiff has moved out of the bottom three and for the first time, this season Brighton squandered a game from a winning position.
