Second Division champions Real Kashmir made their entry to the I-League in grand style as they beat reigning champions Minerva Punjab 1-0. It was a tight encounter between Minerva Punjab and Real Kashmir but the defending champions were shocked at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula by a 74th-minute goal by Gnohere Krizo. That was the lone goal from the game and Real Kashmir took all three points.
Minerva Punjab wasted too many chances and was punished for the lack of scoring by Real Kashmir.
