India’s Khaleel Ahmed who had a dream game against Windies in the 4th ODI of the series is officially warned and imposed one demerit point for advancing towards Marlon Samuels aggresively after dismissing the batsman in the game between India and Windies yesterday(October 29).
Indian player was found violating Article 2.5 of the Code, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an international match”.
Incident happened in the 14th over, with Marlon Samuels was caught in the slips by Rohit Sharma. Khaleel advanced aggressively towards the West Indian. Ahmed admittd the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Match Referee Chris Broad.
