Australia will start the T20 looking forward to changing their fortunes in UAE. The test series was not a great experience for them though they managed to draw the first test match. The second test match was an easy win for Pakistan with Australian batting collapsed for the third time in four innings.
T20 team led by Finch will have a lot of different faces to that of test squad. They have started with a win against UAE team a couple of days back and will want to put their efforts to continue that momentum. The white ball specialists are back in the side and which will give them the confidence to leave the test series behind them.
Chis Lynn, D Arcy Short, and Maxwell were in excellent touch in the domestic competition. Short has already started with a player of the match performance in the game against UAE. McDermott, Alex Carey, and Ashton Agar will add strength to the middle order as well. Nathan Lyon may be all set to play the T20 game after a while along with Mitchell Starc.
Pakistan will be on top of their confidence after winning the test series comprehensively. Their batsmen found form and scored runs and the momentum will continue in the shorter format as well. Imad and Shadab will make their spin bowling department a dangerous unit in the shorter format.
The first match will be in Abu Dhabi and then the teams will move onto Dubai for the second and third matches of the series. Australia will be looking forward to starting with a win as they also stand a chance to top the ICC ranking in T20 format.
