Felix ends Andy Murray’s comeback, Dimitrov also out, Medvedev advance

2 time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray’s come back at US Open, after that horrible hip injury, ended the hands of Canadian youngster Felix Auger-Aliassime. The 20-year-old who is seeded 15 in the tournament was flawless against the legendary Brit. It was 9 years ago Felix visited Arthur Ashe Stadium as a kid, now he ruled that stadium with such great tennis. Murray on the other hand failed to replicate his miraculous performance in the first round of the tournament. Felix won the match in straight sets. Score : 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. Of course, Murray left the tournament with one amazing match to remember for ages. Meanwhile, Felix hoping to continue his form in the rest of the tournament.

In another match, third seed and last year’s finalist Daniil Medvedev impressed again with a very dominating performance against the unseeded Australian Christopher O’Connell. The Russian won the match in straight sets. Score : 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. With an 83% win percentage on the first serve, Daniil also broke the opponent 4 times. Against unseeded Marton Fucsovics 14th seed and former grand slam semifinalist, Grigor Dimitrov taste the defeat. In five-setter which saw two tiebreaks was a really hard-fought match. Dimitrov lost the match after winning the first set. Score : 6-7, 7-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
