Alexandre Lacazette: How well has he improved?

After the long reign of Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery took the reigns at the Emirates. There is always an adaptation problem to the new tactics implemented by the new manager. On the contrary, Arsenal is doing pretty well at the moment. They are playing some “sexy” football at the moment thanks to some in-form players.

Among the players who are in form at the moment for Gunners, let’s point out Alexandre Lacazette. After a slow start to the season, Alexandre Lacazette is picking up the pace and so is Aubameyang.  Lacazette started the season on the bench on many occasions but was effective when brought on.

Lacazette made his first start of the season against Cardiff. The game in which he scored the winner. That was just the beginning as the Frenchman started picking up form. Aubameyang made Lacazette sit on the bench in the beginning and now Lacazette is doing the same to Aubameyang.

Lacazette has scored four goals and two assists at the moment. Even though Aubameyang is the top scoring gunner at the moment, Lacazette has managed to keep him on the bench. Arsenal looks much more clinical when both their strikers start. With Lacazette fulfilling the central role and Aubameyang on the wings, Arsenal can find their clinical combo.

The good thing for Arsenal is that Lacazette is getting better day by day. Lacazette is transforming into a more complete player. He is playing his bit in the beautiful build-up role as well as creating chances. He is dropping deep when Arsenal loses the ball and try to win it back. Alexandre Lacazette is a productive player as he is involved in a goal every 80 minutes.

As mentioned earlier Arsenal can be lethal when both their strikers start the game. With both scoring goals and Ozil in-form Arsenal is on a roll. For Lacazette if he can keep going with this work rate he can do wonders for Arsenal. Will Aubameyang play in the wing as he used to in his early days? If so with Lacazette central Arsenal are pushing back to where they belong: The champions league.
