Late strikes from Mohammad Abbas put Australia in trouble

Just like the first innings, the Australian openers were cruising ahead but in the space of 3 overs without giving away a single run Mohammad Abbas send back Aaron Finch and Marsh brothers to the pavilion putting Australia in trouble. From 87/0 Australia was in a sort of bother only to be saved by a fourth-wicket partnership for the day. Usman Khwaja completed his second half-century of the match whereas Travis Head is giving him able support with 34 runs.

Australia ended day 4 on 136/3. The duo has added 49 runs for the fourth wicket. With a day’s play left Australia still needing 326 more runs with seven wickets in hand. Australia was in a similarly strong position in the first innings with Khawaja and Finch adding 142 runs in the first wicket only to be all out for 202 runs.

Earlier Pakistan declared their second innings at 18/6 setting a 462 runs target for Australia. Imam-Ul-Haq top scored with 48 runs while Asad Shafiq(41), Haris Sohail(39) and Babar Azam(28*) added most valuable runs. Jon Holland took 3 and Nathan Lyon picked 2 wickets.
