Angelo Mathews who was removed from captaincy after Asia cup debacle finds him out of the limited over setup as expected. The selection committee omitted the former captain from ODI team while they selected him for the Test setup. Angelo Mathews was removed from the ODI team citing fitness issues. The selector Graeme Labrooy said that the committee was not convinced about Angelo Mathews fielding for 50 Overs and then coming and bat for some 30 overs.
Labrooy insisted that this is not the end of Mathews’s limited over career and he is still in the plan for Worldcup 2019.
