Chittagong Vikings have decided not to be part of the Bangladesh Premier League’s upcoming season. The franchise decided not to send the list of players to be retained for the upcoming edition of the BPL. The deadline for the same was on September 30 and the issue came into notice only after that.
“Yes they have mailed saying that they are unable to continue in the tournament,” Said BPL acting chairman Sheikh Sohel
“But we are waiting for the arrival of their franchise owner. They were with us for the last five years so we hope that we can convince them to be part of BPL,”
“‘I don’t think it will be possible to replace them with a new franchise. In that case, we will have to play the tournament with six teams.” Sohel said when asked about the possibility of a replacement franchise.
