Trivandrum, June 21, 2024 – The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has unveiled plans for an exciting new venture in the realm of cricket with the introduction of a franchise model Premier League, slated to commence tentatively in September 2024. This T20 format tournament promises to captivate cricket enthusiasts with six dynamic teams battling it out at The Sports Hub, Trivandrum, across a total of 33 exhilarating matches.

Under the stewardship of Sri Nazir Machan, appointed Chairman of the Governing Council, and Sri Vinod S Kumar, serving as Convenor, the league aims to uphold the highest standards of fairness and transparency. Key partnerships with M/s. TCM Global Media for top-notch services, Star Sports as the official broadcaster, and Fancode as the digital streaming partner ensure extensive global coverage in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, and various Indian languages.

The league’s evening matches, scheduled at 3 pm and 7 pm, will be played under vibrant lights, promising an electrifying atmosphere for players and fans alike. Player selection will be conducted through an auction process overseen by M/s KPMG, ensuring a competitive and equitable distribution of talent across the teams.
